Beneprotein™ instant protein powder contains 100% high-quality whey protein. It can be added to any drink or food and is more easily absorbed and used by the body than egg protein. It helps improve general condition, build and maintain muscle mass, and support wound healing.

There are many kinds of protein, such as whey protein, casein, soy protein and meat protein, and they differ in how efficiently the body absorbs and uses them. "Biological value" is a score for how well a protein is absorbed and used by the body: the higher the value, the more readily it is absorbed and used. Whey protein has the highest biological value of all, higher than eggs, milk, beef or legumes.

Whey protein is a globular protein refined from milk. It is a high-quality protein that the body digests and absorbs more easily than other proteins. Whey protein also provides a complete amino acid profile: the branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) help build and repair muscle tissue2; glutamic acid supports the growth of immune cells and helps prevent wound infection3; and arginine takes part in making collagen, helping keep skin intact and elastic4.

In an everyday diet, meats such as pork and beef, and eggs, are relatively high in protein. But meat is higher in saturated fat, and eating too much raises the risk of obesity and cardiovascular disease, so when choosing protein foods it is worth avoiding high-calorie, high-fat options.
When a normal diet cannot provide enough protein, for instance when meat, fish, eggs, milk or legumes are eaten less often, a concentrated whey protein powder is worth considering. Protein powder fits easily into everyday meals: stir it into oatmeal or congee at breakfast; sprinkle it over rice, noodle or vegetable dishes at lunch and dinner; or mix it straight into soup, tea, juice or soy milk. It does not change the taste and adds plenty of protein.
